Restylane and Perlane are a gel product made of hyaluronic acid which is the acid responsible for youthful looking skin. As we age, the distribution and function of our own hyaluronic acid gradually leads to characteristic signs of aging. Restylane and Perlane enhance your skin's hyaluronic acid by adding volume to specific areas. Both are great fillers for sunken eyes, lip plumping, marionette lines and nasolabial folds (the folds running from your nose to the corner of your mouth). Perlane has larger particles than Restylane and is designed for deeper injection. Based on an evalution of your skin, Dr Baskin will determine which one is right for you.

What is Juvederm?

Juvederm is an injectable gel used to instantly restore your skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds. It is made of hyaluronic acid which is found naturally in your connective tissue. Radiesse is considered the next generation in longer lasting wrinkle correction. It is a safe, FDA approved dermal filler that restores a natural, youthful look. Tiny calcium microspheres are used to support and stimulate the growth of your own collagen. Radiesse is great for the nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and is also used to build back cheek volume that is lost with age. Radiesse has the lasting power of a year or more.

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is new facial filler that is used to replace facial fat loss that is seen with aging. It is often used to treat that tired look one gets when the face becomes sunken or gaunt. The product, known as poly-L-lactic acid, stimulates the production of collagen by your body which increases skin thickness. The procedure is usually performed in a series of three sessions where the collagen is built over a period of 6 months. Sclerotherapy, Varicose and Spider Vein Laser Treatment

No More Hiding Those Legs!

For the past seven years, Dr Baskin has taken a special interest in the treatment of spider and varicose veins. Both she and her well trained staff offer a combination of microinjections known as sclerotherapy along with laser treatments to achieve optimal results. During your consultation, a treatment plan will be discussed with you. Typically 3-5 treatments are necessary scheduled in 4-6 week intervals.

Sclerotherapy involves an injection of a solution (such as sodium chloride, a salt solution, or sotradecol, a detergent) directly into the vein. The solution irritates the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to swell and stick together, and the blood to clot. Over time, the vessel turns into scar tissue that fades from view. In most cases, the sclerosing solution is injected through a very fine needle directly into the vein. The procedure itself takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes.
